Cross Country (XC):
Cross country (XC) is a long distance running sport. Any 7th or 8th grader who is interested in running is welcome and no experience is necessary.
Summer (July-Aug.)-Fall (Aug.-Oct.)
Summer Run Club: July-August M-Thurs with optional Fridays
In-Season practices: M/W 3:30-5:00 (location varies)
Meets (races): vary, but usually Saturdays with a few in-week meets on T/Thurs.

MS Soccer:
This is a pre-season conditioning soccer club that leads into the regular season. Athletes participate in drills and scrimmages. Any 7th or 8th grader interested may participate.
Pre-season: Nov. - Mar.
Practice: Wed. 3:30 - 5:00
Location: Alameda fields
Cost: free
Sponsor: Mr. Stack

MSSP (Lakewood Middle School Sports Program)
- Sept- Oct: flag football (coed)
- Nov - Dec: volleyball (coed)
- 7th grade: M/W
- 8th grade: T/Thurs.
- Jan - Mar: basketball
- Girls: M/W
- Boys: T/Thurs.
- Mar. - May: soccer (coed) and track and field (coed)
- Soccer: M/W
- Track and field: T/Thurs.
Cost: $100/sport ($25 after applying for Lakewood Possibilities Fund)
If interested in enrolling your student in Lakewood MSSP, complete these steps:
- Complete the Lakewood Possibilities Fund application and turn it in to a Lakewood Rec center.
- Wait for the Possibilities Fund to be processed by Lakewood Rec and eligibility determined. 2-3 days.
- Once the Possibilities Fund application has been processed, complete the Online Registration. You will be prompted to sign in or create an account.
